Epics Music offers a wide variety of Music Lessons for Piano, Guitar, Drums, Music Theory, Music Production, Composition, Music Therapy and more. Our aim to enrich and improve everyone's lives with music they love and enjoy.

Constant Communication

Communication is key for all involved in creating a great learning environment. We are readily available for a chat. Gaining valuable information about their home life is vital in working together to create the best practice strategies and to help parents understand what their children may struggle with and why.

Professional & Knowledgeable

All the teachers here at Epics Music have a validated Working With Children’s Check and have great experience and understanding of not only their instrument but different aspects of teaching. Teachers rates are determined by their qualifications as many have a Bachelor of Music or Creative Arts. The Director, Christine, has done further studies in Teaching, Music Therapy, Psychology, Autism Studies and more. All teachers are mentored by Christine and undergo regular professional development.

Student Focused

At Epics Music we are Student focused and we aim to teach each student how they best learn. We help students set their long and short term musical goals. We work with the student and their family to make practice time and lesson time fun, enjoyable and productive.

We all know how busy life can get whether with kids or not! So to make life easier for you Epics Music offers the following:

Free Wifi

Whether in your car, in the waiting room or in our Harry Potter Cupboard you can use our free Wifi for entertainment, to catch up on some work, practice your note reading or update your parent/student portal.

Payment Options

Waiting Areas

Here at Epics Music we have a waiting room with Netflix, Stan, and ABC kids (for Bluey of course), an outdoor play area & a Harry Potter Cupboard under the stairs for those that need a quiet low-light space.

You have the freedom of Paying in person via Cash or Card, Paypal, Stripe or Bank Transfer. Payment plans and monthly automatic payments are also available. What ever suits you best.

As a family run business we like to offer care and support to our Epics Music Community. We regard it a privilege being apart of your lives. We are never just your/your child’s teacher.

Meet Christine Buurman

Director of Epics Music

Christine has a Bachelor of Music (Composition) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Kindermusik Training, Voices of Autism (Torrens University) and was a finalist for Outstanding Business Person in the 2018 Local Business Awards. Christine is a local mum who teaches privately at Kiama Public, Calderwood Christian School and Shellharbour Anglican College.

“I understand that learning a new skill and language can be difficult and hard work. Having to make the time and the effort after school or work can be a challenge. This is why it is vital that lessons are fun and engaging. I am student centered and goal focused; I centre my lessons around the student’s needs and interests while consistently focusing on the goal/s that we set together to achieve. I have been teaching for over 15 years and enjoy it thoroughly. I endeavour to make sure that my students’ have fun learning.”
